SNANETID (Remote LU Objects) - for SNAX/APN
Only
However, if the remote LU is a terminal, a second BIND request to the same LU is
rejected.
PLU acquire: The SNANAME is used as the SLU name specified in the BIND
request representing the remote LU (the SLU).
If the application specifies the SLU name in its BIND request, the SLU name
must match the SNANAME configured for the SNALU LU; otherwise, the BIND
request is rejected.
If the application process omits the SLU name in its BIND request, the
configured SNANAME is used as the SLU name sent in the BIND request. If
the SNANAME is not defined for the SNALU LU, the BIND request is rejected.
If the SNANAME of the SNALU LU is not configured, the application process
that opens a SNALU LU and sends the BIND request must specify the SLU
name in the BIND request it sends to the SNALU interface. Otherwise, the
BIND request is rejected.
SLU accept: The SNANAME attribute is ignored and can be omitted.
SLU acquire: The SNANAME is used as the PLU name in the PROGRAM
START request if the DLUNAME is not provided in the INIT-SELF request.
PLU accept: The SNANAME attribute is ignored and can be omitted.
SNANETID (Remote LU Objects) - for SNAX/APN Only
When applied to a remote LU, SNANETID specifies the SNA network identifier of a
remote network (one not directly attached to the NonStop node). For a LU defined on
the NonStop node to initiate sessions with an LU residing in a remote network,
SNANETID must specify the SNA identifier of that remote network.
Because the remote network has an SNA network identifier different from that of the
adjacent node, the SNANETID specification for the remote LU will differ from the
SNANETID specification for the remote PU to which it is subordinate. For example:
ADD PU #PU1, ADDRESS %hC1, RECSIZE 521, TYPE (13,21), &
MAXLUS 10, SNANETID USPALO01
ADD LU $APN1.#RL1, PUNAME #PU1, TYPE (14,21), &
SNANAME BS4APPL1, SNANETID USPALO03
ADD LU $APN1.#ILOGMGR, PUNAME #PU1, TYPE (14,21), &
SNANAME IBM2, SNANETID USPALO03
ADD LU $APN1.#RLCRT1, PUNAME #PU1, TYPE (14,2), &
PROTOCOL CRT, SNANAME BS4APPL1, &
Default: SNANETID value for the remote PU object
Value: String of 1 through 8 characters in the SNA type 1134 character set
Objects: LU
