SNRMIFDM
SNRMIFDM
SNRMIFDM specifies whether a primary station is to retry a Set Normal Response
Mode (SNRM) request when it receives a Disconnect Mode (DM) command response
from a device. This line attribute is applicable only to primary lines.
ON indicates that the primary station is to respond to DM with a SNRM command.
OFF indicates that the primary station is not to respond to DM.
SPEED
SPEED specifies the line speed in bits per second (bps). The value provides line
speed information for display commands. This value is also used in determining
XMTTIMEOUT when XMTTIMEOUT has not been specified by the user.
If an application does not specify this attribute, the default value is 9600 bps.
This attribute does not apply to X.25 or Token-Ring lines.
SPXID - for SNAX/XF Only
SPXID specifies, for a primary switched line, whether the SNAX/XF line handler sends
the broadcast poll address or a specific poll address in the SDLC XID command it
sends when a PU dials in. This attribute applies only to line type 58,5 (SDLC).
The SPXID attribute is needed because some terminals (such as the IBM 3650) do not
respond to the broadcast poll address and must be polled with the specific address
that was defined for it when it was configured through the ADD PU command.
A value of ON specifies that the poll containing the specific address of the PU should
be sent to the terminal when it dials in. A value of OFF specifies that the broadcast poll
address (%hFF) should be sent to the terminal.
SPXID is valid only when specified for a primary switched line. SPXID is not valid for
switched floating PUs. If specified for a nonswitched line, it is rejected.
