SWOPMSG
For LUs on switched lines, CONTROL 12 or CLOSE is required in order to break
communication.
The CONTROL 11 is not completed until a connection is established over the line,
which could be a long time (hours or even days).
For lines other than X.21, auto-answer or manual-answer modems are required.
Autodial operations are not supported for switched SDLC lines.
PU Type 1 devices are not supported for switched SDLC lines.
Only format 0 XID commands and responses are supported. (The exception to this
is X.21 connections, which support format 1 XIDs; however, X.21 switched line
connections are not supported in NonStop S-series systems.)
For nonswitched lines, XID exchanges are not supported.
For more information about switched and non-switched X.25 lines, see Section 3,
SNAX/XF Primary Lines or the SNAX Connection Manager (SNAX/CM) Manual.
For SNAX/APN, this attribute applies only to line type 58,5 (SDLC). On X.25 lines, it
has no meaning for SNAX/APN operation.
SWOPMSG
SWOPMSG regulates the display of operator messages during connection and
disconnection of a switched line and all the PUs under the line. ON enables message
display; OFF disables message display. For SNAX/APN, no meaning for X.25 lines.
SWSESSTIMEOUT - for SNAX/XF Only
SWSESSTIMEOUT selects a session time-out feature for switched lines. The session
time-out feature runs a timer when a switched line is connected but there is no session
running on any LU. Specify the time period in the format hh:mm:ss.tt, where:
hh = hours
mm = minutes
ss = seconds
tt = hundredths of a second
Set the value to 0 to disable the session time-out feature.
