XMITIMEOUT
X21T7TIMEOUT specifies the T7 time limit that the X.21 DTE uses when waiting for a
DCE response during call establishment. T7 represents the T7 timer. This attribute
applies only to SDLC lines.
The valid range of values for this attribute is 0 through 10 minutes, 5 seconds, and 35
hundredths of a second (0 through 10:5.35). If the value specified is 0, ADCCP does
not use the specific T7 timer during the X.21 call establishment process.
XMITIMEOUT
XMTTIMEOUT specifies the amount of time that the line-handler process waits for a
WRITE-COMPLETE interrupt. When the line handler reaches the limit defined by
XMTTIMEOUT without receiving an interrupt, it retries the WRITE operation three
times. If the WRITE retry attempts are not successful, SNAX declares the line
inoperative. The valid range of values for the XMTTIMEOUT attribute is
0 through 10:5.35 (10 minutes, 5 seconds, and 35 hundredths of a second).
If a value of 0 is specified for the XMTTIMEOUT attribute or if the value defaults to 0,
the time interval is automatically calculated on the basis of the values specified for the
SPEED and RECSIZE attributes. For this reason, it is recommended that the
XMTTIMEOUT attribute be allowed to default, unless you have a definite reason for
doing otherwise.
XPAGES (LINE Objects)
For a LINE object, XPAGES specifies the number of pages in an extended segment to
allocate for BIU and PIU buffers. These pages are allocated and locked in storage
when needed and are freed when they are no longer being used. The valid range of
values is 0 through 4096; the highest value you can specify, however, depends upon
the configuration.
When XPAGES is specified as 0 or when it defaults to 0, an appropriate value is
calculated on the basis of the MAXLUS attribute.
