Basic Parts of a Trace-Record Display
Basic Parts of a Trace-Record Display
The display of each individual SNAX trace record has several basic parts, which are
shown in the following example:
is the date on which this trace record was captured.
is the time at which this trace record was captured.
is the delta time: that is, the amount of time, in microseconds, that has passed
since the previously displayed trace record was captured.
If the time reaches 999.999999 seconds or greater, then 999.999999 is displayed.
The delta time is 0 for the first record and for any record having a timestamp (date
and time) earlier than the previous record displayed.
is the number of the trace record within the trace file.
Trace-record numbers are generated sequentially beginning at 1. However, record
numbers in the actual trace file might not start at 1 if the WRAP option was turned
on when the trace was made. (For more information about the WRAP option, see
the description of the TRACE command in Section 12, Objects for SNAX/XF and
SNAX/APN.)
is the trace-record type number and corresponding identifier reflecting the type of
information contained in the trace record.
Note that service manager traces and line traces have overlapping sets of type
numbers. Therefore, to identify the trace record from the type number, you must
