C Error Messages
This appendix describes SCF error numbers and messages presented by the SNAX
subsystem. SNAX/XF shares the same DSM subsystem ID and the same set of error
messages with SNAX/APN; however, not all messages in the set apply to both
products, and some messages have slightly different implications for the two products.
SCF error messages from both subsystems are identified by the name SNAX.
These errors all have positive error numbers. Errors returned by the SNAX/XF
subsystem that have negative error numbers are SCF errors common to many
subsystems. Negative-numbered SCF error messages are described in the SCF
Reference Manual for G-series RVUs.
Each error listed includes a description of the probable cause of the error condition, an
explanation of the effect of the error, and a recommended recovery action. The error
messages are listed in numeric order.
Some error messages might not be easily recoverable and might require you to seek
additional assistance. In such cases, follow the standard procedures at your site for
contacting appropriate support personnel. These procedures might involve contacting
your support provider.
Collect any relevant information for the support personnel, including details from the
error message, a description of the problem and accompanying symptoms, and
supporting documentation such as EMS logs, trace files, and a CPU dump (if
applicable). If your operating procedures require contacting your support provider,
please supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all related
products.
