Configuring WAN Subsystem Objects for SNAX
You use these files to define PROFILE objects in the WAN subsystem (you can
optionally override the default values in the SUT file). Then, when you define DEVICE
objects for the SNAX service manager and line handler processes, you associate the
DEVICE object with a PROFILE object (you can again override the PROFILE values
for a specific DEVICE object). When the DEVICE object is started, it assumes the
configuration parameters of the PROFILE object (with any overrides).
Figure 2-2 on page 2-4 shows the WAN subsystem SCF configuration for a single
SNAX service manager process with two line handler processes, $SNAP1 using SDLC
and $SOXP1 using X.25. The figure does not show the X25AM configuration.
Note. You can display the SNAX-specific configuration parameters:
In PSX1SVM and
PSX1TS (for SWAN 1) or
PSX1TS2 (for SWAN 2)
by using the SCF command HELP WAN PSX1.
For a specified PROFILE object by using the SCF INFO PROFILE command.
For a specified DEVICE object by using the SCF INFO DEVICE command.
Note. Figure 2-2
on page 2-4 assumes the use of SWAN 1. For SWAN 2, the FILE
specification for ADD PROFILE should be PSX1TS2.
