Switched Line Using Switched Floating PU and LU
Objects
Figure 3-5. Switched Line Using Switched Floating PU and LU Objects
Notes.
1. The attributes shown are all needed for this type of configuration.
2. The LINE attribute AUTOACCEPT must be set ON to permit call-in.
3. The LINE attribute MAXPUS must be set to 1 when not using SNAX/CM
4. The PU and LU names are qualified by the SUBSYS object name ($SSCP) rather than a
LINE object name because they are in a pool until needed for a connection.
5. The PU ADDRESS attribute is always required, but for a switched floating PU object need
not be a real device address.
6. The PU attributes PUIDBLK and PUIDNUM together uniquely identify the PU and are used
for SDLC exchange identifier (XID) verification.
7. When using switched floating PU and LU objects, the remote LUs must use the LUNS
interface to access applications on a NonStop system. Hence, the LU attribute ESSTABLE
must be specified for switched floating LU objects; see Configuring for LU Accept
on
page 3-9.
