Configuring the SNA Network
Configuring the SNA Network
You need to configure the NCP, NPSI (if X.25 used), and VTAM.
NCP Definition
In the NCP definition, include LINE, PU, and LU statements for the gateway lines, PUs,
and LUs. Certain values must be consistent with the corresponding SNAX/XF object
attribute values, as shown in Table 4-2.
NPSI Definition (X.25 Lines)
For X.25 lines, the NCP must include the X.25 NCP Packet Switching Interface (NPSI)
option. Certain X.25 parameters defined in the NPSI option must have values
consistent with the values defined in SNAX/XF, as shown in Table 4-2.
Also, in the user data field of incoming call, the CID value must match the SNAX/XF
PU CONNID value.
For correspondences between the X25AM and NPSI definitions for SNAX/XF lines,
see the SCF Reference Manual for X25AM.
VTAM List
Include APPL entries in the VTAM for the SNA host applications you want to access
from the NonStop system. The names must be the same name as in the SNAX/XF
LINE APPLID.
