SNA Subarea Network
Also in the Device Attributes for the HP LEN node, set APPN NO.
For AS/400 systems, the simplest way to ensure that the NonStop node and the
adjacent node successfully validate each other’s XID3 frames is:
Make the SUBSYS SNANETID match the AS/400 Network Description’s
LCLNETID
Allow the SUBSYS CPNAME, PU CPNAME, and PU SNANETID to default
For information about AS/400 configuration, see the AS/400™ Communications User’s
Guide and the AS/400™ Communications: Advanced Peer-to-Peer Network Guide.
SNA Subarea Network
If the HP LEN node is connected to an SNA subarea network, certain SNA
configuration parameters and SNAX/APN parameters must match, as shown in
Table 6-3.
If the SNA subarea connection is over an X.25 lines, the NCP must include the X.25
NCP Packet Switching Interface (NPSI) option. Certain X.25 parameters defined in the
NPSI option must have values consistent with the values defined in SNAX/APN, as
shown in Table 6-4
on page 6-10.
