About This Manual
Purpose of this Manual
This manual describes the ZSX1- event messages that the SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN
subsystems generate by using the services of the Event Management Service (EMS).
The messages are those generated on the subsystems running on a Compag Nonstop
Himalaya S-series server.
Who Should Read This Manual
This manual is written for two audiences:
Application programmers who write EMS filters, operator interfaces, or Subsystem
Programmatic Interface (SPI) management applications for the SNAX/XF
subsystem should read following sections:

How This Manual is Organized
Section 1, Introduction explains how the SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN subsystems
interface to EMS and indicates the processes that report events. For each subsystem, the
section contains a list of all generated events.
Section 2, Standard Definitions
provides a list of all SPI (ZSPI-), EMS (ZEMS-), and
SPI common extensions (ZCOM-) tokens that appear in SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN
event messages.
Section 3, SNAX/XF Event Messages
provides a detailed description of the ZSX1-
messages generated by SNAX/XF, explains their meaning within the SNAX/XF
environment, and supplies recovery information.
Section 4, SNAX/APN Event Messages
provides a detailed description of the ZSX1-
messages generated by SNAX/APN, explains their meaning within the SNAX/APN
environment, and supplies recovery information.
