Cause. LUNS received a character-coded command from the terminal LU named in
ZSX1-TKN-LUNS-OBJ2. The command matched the command name of an ESSCMD
record in the terminal’s ESS table, and that record directed either a passthrough session
with an application in the remote host or the establishment of a static path to the remote
host’s system services control point (SSCP). A message was sent to a remote LUNS to
assign a remote gateway LU and the remote LUNS returned an error. The error is
indicated by the value of ZSX1-TKN-LUNS-INFO1, as follows:
1. The object name given in ZSX1-TKN-LUNS-OBJ1 could not be found on the
remote node.
2. The object named in ZSX1-TKN-LUNS-OBJ1—a line, a PU, or an LU on the
remote node—was in an invalid state.
Effect. The request that was being processed is rejected.
Recovery. Depending on the nature of the failure, perform one or more of the following
steps:
1. Use the SCF INFO and STATUS commands to examine the condition of the named
object on the remote node.
2. In the terminal’s ESS table, examine the named ESSCMD record. If necessary, refer
to the SNAX/XF LU Network Services Manual.
3. Correct any improper specifications in SCF commands or in ESSCMD records in
the terminal’s ESS table.
4. Using SCF, correct the state of any object that is in an improper state. If a gateway
PU or LU is in the starting state, it must be activated from the host.
5. Try the request again. If the terminal is locked up, have the operator abort and restart
its LU through SCF. If the problem persists, contact the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC).
