124: ZSX1-EVT-CHECKPOINT-FAILED
ZSX1-TKN-APPL-FILE
specifies the file name of a process defined by the ADD APPL command. The
attempt to add or alter this object resulted in a checkpointing failure and caused the
event to occur.
Cause. In a system in which the SNAX/XF service manager was running as a process
pair, an attempt was made to add or alter a SNAX/XF object. Because of a lack of
memory, the backup service manager was unable to process a checkpoint from the
primary service manager. Consequently, the primary service manager could no longer
checkpoint to the backup service manager, and the backup service manager became
unable to perform its backup function.
Effect. The backup service-manager process is unable to perform its backup function. If
the primary service-manager process fails after this event occurs, the backup service-
manager process deletes its resources, enters a quiescent state, and replies to all requests
with file-system error 66; and the SNAX/XF subsystem ceases to function.
Recovery. If you do not need the service manager to run as a process pair, no action is
necessary. If you require the service manager to run as a process pair, use the DIVER
program to take down the backup CPU for the service manager and reload it using
TACL. Try not to start too many processes on the backup CPU, so that the backup
service manager can have enough memory to process all checkpoints from the primary.
If the problem persists, add more memory to the backup CPU and reload it.
