The backup service-manager process did not receive all of the necessary checkpoints
from the primary service-manager process before a halt occurred in the CPU in
which the primary service manager was running.

The backup service-manager process replied with a file-system error 31 to a
checkpoint from the primary service-manager process. As a result, the primary
service manager stopped checkpointing to the backup service manager.
Subsequently, the CPU of the primary service manager failed.
In both cases, the backup service manager did not precisely mirror the primary service
manager.
Effect. The backup service-manager process is unable to take over from the primary
process. The SNAX/XF subsystem ceases to function.
Recovery. Cold load the system.
