Standard Definitions
Event-message buffers, like other SPI buffers, contain header tokens and other standard
tokens. The header and standard tokens that appear in SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN event
messages are listed in:
Table 2-1, which lists SPI header and simple tokens
Table 2-2, which list EMS header and simple tokens
Table 2-3, which lists SPI common extension tokens
The header tokens in Table 2-1
and Table 2-2 are included because an application can
filter event messages on header tokens as well as on other tokens. Header tokens are
defined in this section only; they are not included in descriptions of individual event
messages.
Tokens that appear only in certain event messages are listed and described with the
individual event messages in Section 3, SNAX/XF Event Messages
and Section 4,
SNAX/APN Event Messages.
SPI Standard Definitions Used by SNAX/XF and
SNAX/APN
Definitions whose symbolic names begin with the characters ZSPI- are SPI standard
definitions. The SPI Programming Manual fully discusses these definitions. Table 2-1
lists all SPI standard definition that are used in event messages generated by SNAX/XF
and SNAX/APN.
Definitions of Header Tokens
ZSPI-TKN-HDRTYPE
identifies the kind of header that the message contains. (The message buffer used by
EMS—like the command or response buffer used in control and inquiry—is an SPI
buffer, but somes of the tokens in the header of an event message differ from those
in the header of a command or response message.)
