4-106
119: ZSX1-EVT-TS-FENOBUFSPACE
ZEMS-TKN-LDEV
is a standard EMS token described in the EMS Manual.
ZSX1-TKN-NUM-NOBUFSPACE-ERRORS
is the number of accumulated FENOBUFSPACE errors.
Cause. The service-manager process was unable to communicate with a line-handler
process because of multiple occurrences of file-system error 31 (no buffer space). The
line handler identified in ZCOM-TKN-SUBJ-LINE was overloaded with user messages
or system messages, either temporarily (if the message does not occur repeatedly) or
permanently (if it does occur repeatedly).
Effect. If the message appears only once, there are probably no noticeable effects on the
SNA environment. If the message occurs repeatedly, the line is probably not
successfully processing messages to or from its devices. However, the service manager
should continue servicing other SNAX/APN lines.
Recovery. If the message occurs repeatedly, perform a memory dump for each of the
pair of CPUs in which the line-handler process is running. Then contact the Global
Customer Support Center.
When contacting the Global Customer Support Center, provide all relevant information
as follows:
•
Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the message(s) generated
•
Supporting documentation such as Event Management Service (EMS) logs, trace
files, and a CPU dump, if applicable
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), please also supply your system number and the numbers and versions
of all related products.
