GETVERSION

ZCOM-CMD-GETVERSION (nonsensitive)

The GETVERSION command returns subsystem version information and optional

information describing subsystem support for command security and object tracing.

A GETVERSION command specifying the NULL object type is a simple way to obtain

subsystem software version information (in ZSPI-TKN-SERVER-VERSION) and the

associated product banner (in ZSPI-TKN-SERVER-BANNER). ZSPI-TKN-SERVER-

VERSION is always included in a response because it is a header token. The product

banner is for display purposes only. It should not be programmatically examined to

obtain information.

If ZCOM-TKN-GETVSN-SUPP-PARAMS set to TRUE is included in the request, the

subsystem can return additional tokens describing support for command security (in

ZCOM-TKN-GETVSN-SECUR-SUPP), subsystem support for tracing (in ZCOM-TKN-

GETVSN-TRACE-SUPP), the subsystem’s level of support for specific features of the

management interface (in ZCOM-TKN-GETVSN-LVL), and the subsystem’s support for

FORBIDOPENS Response Tokens
