A ZCOM Errors
This appendix lists common ZCOM error numbers and associated error lists. The error
numbers have names beginning with ZCOM-ERR-. Subsystems return these errors in
the response token ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE and in the Z-ERROR field of ZSPI-TKN-
ERROR, which is included in every error list.
For descriptions of ZCMK errors and ZCOM errors as issued by ZCMK-based
subsystems, see Appendix B, ZCMK Definitions.
Individual subsystems can add information to the error lists. For a description of
common error lists as generated by a particular subsystem, see the subsystem
management programming manual.
For a general description of error lists and their role in the Subsystem Programmatic
Interface, see the
SPI Programming Manual
.
Error Notation
For each error, a syntax box lists the tokens that can appear in the error list. With the
exception of ZSPI-TKN-ERRLIST and ZSPI-TKN-ENDLIST, the order of the tokens in
the box is not necessarily the order in which they occur. The tokens are described
following the box. ZSPI-TKN-ERRLIST, ZSPI-TKN-ENDLIST and ZSPI-TKN-ERROR
serve the same function in all error lists and are described in the
SPI Programming
Manual
.
Tokens and their values are presented in Data Definition Language (DDL). For a
description of DDL, see the
SPI Programming Manual
or the
Data Definition Language
(DDL) Reference Manual
.
Key numbers within angle brackets (<n>) appear in message text to identify tokens
from which portions of the text are derived.
ZCOM Error Definitions
Descriptions of common errors appear in order by error number. These error numbers
are common to all extended SPI subsystems and are related to the general operation
of the command-and-inquiry interface. Table A-1 lists them by error number. Table A-2
on page A-3 lists them by name.
