ZCMK Tokens

ZCMK-TKN-EMS-XFNAME, -XFNAME-1, -XFNAME-2, and

-XFNAME-3

These tokens identify the current collector processes associated with each EMS

collector. They correspond to the COLLECTOR startup parameters. They are included

in INFO responses to report the names of the current collector processes and can be

used in ALTER commands to assign collector functions to new processes:

When used in the ALTER command message, a zero-length name stops EMS event

collection. To leave the collector unchanged, omit the definition from the ALTER

command. When returned in the INFO response, this token identifies the EMS collector

process currently in use. If no EMS collection is in effect, this definition is not included

in the INFO response.

When you alter this attribute an event is generated, an event message is sent to the

old and the new collector indicating the change, and the banner line is sent to the new

collector.

Any time event reporting is directed to a new collector, an event message is generated

and sent to the newly attached collector. Any time event reporting to a collector is

stopped, an attempt is made to generate and record an event message.
