SWITCH
ZCMK-TKN-BKUP-ABEND-CNT
records the number of times that backup start attempts have failed.
ZCMK-TKN-BKUP-STATE
reports the summary state of the backup process. The possible values are:
This token appears in the response only if the command is directed to the native
object type of the subsystem.
ZCMK-TKN-TKOVR-CNT
records the number of times this process has undergone an unplanned takeover
within a short time period. If this value ever reaches 5, no further takeovers occur.
This subsystem-internal counter is incremented each time a takeover occurs
because of abnormal termination of the primary process. If the newly created
process continues to execute successfully, this counter is reduced by 1 every 5
minutes. Therefore, on average, a takeover rate of more than 1 every 5 minutes is
eventually treated as a fatal error.
This token appears in the response only if the command is directed to the native
object type of the subsystem.
SWITCH
A ZCMK-based subsystem accepts the following tokens in an SWITCH command that
is directed to the subsystem’s native object type:
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-
STARTED
Indicates that the backup process is running and that
enough checkpoints have been taken to ensure its
integrity.
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-
STARTING
Indicates that the backup has been initiated but is not yet
running. Internally, it indicates that the function
NEWPROCESSNOWAIT has been issued, but no
acknowledgment has been returned.
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-
STOPPED
Indicates that no backup is running, nor is any attempt to
activate one in progress. This situation occurs when the
backup CPU number is designated as -1 or when a
previous attempt to activate a backup failed. To reactivate
a backup, reissue the ALTER command and include a
ZCMK-TKN-ALTER-BKUP-CPU.
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-
STOPPING
Indicates that a STOP command has been issued to the
backup process, but no acknowledgment of the backup
process stopping has been returned.
