SPOOLER Command
DEVICE QUEUE
NODES
Represents the number of jobs queued for all devices. All jobs in
the spooler take one or more device queue nodes, except jobs that
are in the OPEN, WAIT, and HOLD states. If a group location or
broadcast location is the destination of a job, the number of device
queue nodes used by the job is the number of devices configured
for the location. Jobs that are directed to group.destination or
a location that is not assigned to a device use only one device
queue node.
In general, the number of queue nodes is a configurable limit in the
the spooler. However, if additional queue nodes cannot be obtained
for a job and no other limits have been exceeded, the job is placed
in the WAIT state until queue nodes become available.
RECEIVE QUEUE
ENTRIES
Is the number of requests received by the supervisor; they are often
queued in a receive queue to permit selective processing. This
count is the current number of requests queued.
The receive queue size is equal to 1024, the maximum number of
openers.
JOBS CURRENTLY
PRINTING
Is the number of jobs that have begun but have yet to finish
printing. The maximum value for this count is the configured
maximum number of devices.
JOBS WAITING Q
NODES
Is the number of jobs that are waiting to be queued to devices. See
the explanation of DEVICE QUEUE NODES above for more
information.
JOBS COLLECTED Is the number of jobs collected since the last spooler coldstart. This
statistic is also reset if a warm start of the spooler was performed to
recover from an improper spooler shutdown.
JOBS PRINTED Is the number of jobs printed since the last spooler coldstart. This
statistic is also reset if a warmstart of the spooler was performed to
recover from an improper spooler shutdown.
BATCH JOBS Is the number of batch jobs known to the spooler supervisor. This
count can be as large as the configured maximum number of batch
jobs (25000 in the example). This entry is also reported with EMS
threshold messages.
LOCATIONS Is the number of locations known to the spooler supervisor. This
count can be as large as the configured maximum number of
locations (30000 in the example). This entry is also reported with
EMS threshold messages.
DEVICES Is the number of devices known to the spooler supervisor. This
count can be as large as the configured maximum number of
devices (4000 in the example).
