Introduction to the Spooler Plus
Subsystem
The HP Spooler Plus subsystem is a set of utilities that form an interface between you
(and your application programs) and the print devices of a system. The Spooler Plus
subsystem receives output from an application and stores it on disk. This output can
be a report in the format of an EDIT file (file code 101), a listing from a compiled
program, or other data. When the designated print device becomes available, the
output is printed.
