Spooler and Spooler Plus
Comparison
Spooler Plus is an optional product containing Spoolcom and Peruse modules that can
be used to replace the Spoolcom and Peruse modules provided by the D41 and later
releases of the Spooler subsystem. You can use the Spooler Plus Spoolcom and
Peruse utilities to configure and manage expanded configurations of the Spooler
subsystem. You must use these utilities if the maximum jobs has been configured
above 8191.
In general, once the Spooler Plus product has been applied to configure the spooler in
extended configurations, only Spooler Plus utilities should be used. While some utility
commands will function properly, you will eventually receive errors when you issue
commands that require use of the extended application program interface (API)
employed in the Spooler Plus utilities.
