Changes to Library Procedures
Changes to Library Procedures
The library procedures in the Spooler system have been enhanced to support the
application of Spooler Plus utilities and the new commands and subcommands.
Application Migration Issues
Applications that use the Spooler library procedures may need to be changed if they
use procedures that are sensitive to limits extensions. These are the procedures that
have been enhanced to permit accurate handling of larger job numbers, batch
numbers, allocated units, total units, line numbers, and page numbers. TACL macros
and routines that parse Spoolcom or Peruse output need to be modified because of the
slightly different format used where these counts are displayed.
Unsupported Procedures
You cannot use the PRINTCOMPLETE, PRINTSTART, and SPOOLEREQUEST
procedures to access spooler jobs that reside in the D41 and later releases of the
Spooler Plus subsystem. You can continue to use these procedures to access file
code 129 job files, however. To access spooler jobs in the D41 and later releases of
the Spooler subsystem, you must use the PRINTCOMPLETE2, PRINTSTART2, and
SPOOLEREQUEST2 procedures.
