Configuring Data Source Attributes for SequeLink
Configuring Data Source Attributes for SequeLink
The MXCS version 2.0 installation includes the template file MXODSN, which contains
the information necessary for SequeLink servers that connect to MXCS server data
sources.
1. Edit the MXODSN file. The MXODSN file is installed in the ZMXODBC subvolume.
Change the MXODSN file so the attributes are set to correct values for your
system (for example, names of data sources and attributes describing them).
To use MXCS data sources, the data source name in MXODSN must exactly
match the data source name defined in the MXCS service (names are case
sensitive).
If the CATALOG and SCHEMA attributes are not defined in the MXODSN file,
MXCS uses the values that are defined through NSM/web or the default values, if
none are defined.
For details about attributes and settings in the MXODSN file see Table 3-9, Format
of the MXODSN file, on page 3-23 and , Example MXODSN file, on page 3-25.
2. Move the MXODSN file to the Guardian subvolume where you run SequeLink for
NonStop SQL/MX (where the SWSOC file is located) or to the $SYSTEM.SYSTEM
Guardian subvolume.
If an MXODSN file exists in the subvolume where SWSOC is located, MXCS uses
that MXODSN file. If there is no MXODSN file in that Guardian subvolume, MXCS
looks in $SYSTEM.SYSTEM for a MXODSN file.
MXODSN File Format
Table 3-9 describes the format of the MXODSN file and describes all the attributes.
