Using the mxudrlink Script to Relink MXUDR
The mxudrlink script prompts you to answer several questions, each having a
default response that corresponds to a standard location for one or more required files.
You can press Return to select the default response, or, if you installed the NonStop
Server for Java or JDBC/MX driver in a nonstandard location, you can enter your own
location.
Invoking the mxudrlink Script
1. Log on to the NonStop server.
2. Start the OSS shell by entering the osh command at the TACL prompt.
3. On the command line, enter the location of mxudrlink:
/usr/tandem/sqlmx/udr/mxudrlink
4. To start relinking MXUDR, enter Y; otherwise, enter N to quit.
Specifying the Settings
The mxudrlink script prompts you to enter the target directory for the new MXUDR:
1. Enter the target directory for the new MXUDR, or press Return for the default
directory, /G/SYSTEM/SYSTEM.
°
If the mxudrlink script cannot find the directory, it prompts you to reenter the
directory. Check the spelling and case of the directory. If the directory is in the
Guardian environment, the directory must be in the form:
/G/volume/subvolume.
°
If MXUDR is open in the target directory, the mxudrlink script prompts you
either to terminate the application that is using MXUDR or to specify a different
target directory.
2. Enter the directory where mxudrlink, mxudr.mak, mxudr.oby, and mxudr.tlo
are located, or press Return for the default directory, /usr/tandem/sqlmx/udr.
Note. If you accidently enter the wrong information for a setting, press Return for the rest of
the settings and enter N when mxudrlink prompts you to accept these settings. You can then
reenter the settings. For more information, see Verifying the Settings
on page 2-8.
Please enter the target directory:(/G/SYSTEM/SYSTEM)
Please enter the SQL/MX UDR Server setup directory:(/usr/tandem/sqlmx/udr)
