service-name
Service names are 1 to 8 characters long, beginning with a letter followed by letters and numbers. No special characters
are allowed. Service names are always interpreted as upper case. The service name must not duplicate any existing
services, including the default TACL service if present. The newly added service will be in a STARTed state and
available for immediate use.
TYPE DYNAMIC
With TYPE DYNAMIC, the PROG field is required, while the CPU, PRI, LIB, SWAP, USER, PARAM, HOME,
LIMIT, RESILIENT, DEBUGOPT and LOGON fields are optional.
When a session requests a dynamic service, a new window, with a unique name, is automatically created. A new
application process is also automatically created. When the session terminates, the window is automatically deleted.
Dynamic services have various advantages and disadvantages:
