4 Troubleshooting HP NonStop SST Agent
4-1 Checking SST/OB Process Status on HP NonStop Server
You can use the following command to view the status of all the SST/OB processes running on the NonStop
Server.
RUN STATAOB
4-2 Checking SST/OB HP NonStop Server Process Log File
It is recommended to check the status of the log file of all the SST/OB processes on the HP NonStop Server. Use
the following command to view the log file on the NonStop Server.
fup copy aoblog , ,share
4-3 Increase Log File Size
In order to increase the SST/OB process log file size on the HP NonStop Server (AOBLOG), edit the AOBCONF
file. Update the following line in the AOBCONF file.
SET LOG SIZE 500000 --Bytes
4-4 Increase Size of Host DB Database
Host DB is a temporary database, which acts as a store and forward file to deal with network outage problems.
In order to increase the size of the Host DB database on the HP NonStop Server, edit the AOBCONF file.
Update the following line in the AOBCONF file.
SET STATD SIZE 20000 --KB
4-5 Starting EMON
If EMON is not started, check the aoblog file.
1. If the aoblog file displays an error message that the License Key has expired, update the license key in the
TACCCONF File.
2. If aoblog displays error 201,

a. Go to the XXXCMN volume.
b. Open ZTParms in edit mode.
c. Search for "sst_LogToCollector $XXX" and check the status of the collector $XXX. If it’s
running then its fine if not then start the collector $XXX.
d. Close the open file
e. Run Strttacc.
