5-8 Enable TCP/IP Protocol
In case the TCP/IP protocol is disabled for SQL Server, the following features will not work:
• SST/OB Services
• SST/OB Configuration Client
• SST/OB Client GUI
• SST/OB Web GUI
Follow the steps given below to enable TCP/IP protocol on the SQL Server:
1. Click on Start Æ Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Æ Configuration Tools Æ SQL Server Configuration Manager.
This displays the SQL Server Configuration Manager window.
2. Click on the SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration option available on the left window panel. Select
Protocols for MSSQLSERVER option to display the number of Protocols available along with their Status.
3. Right-click on the TCP/IP protocol and select the Enable option. This will change the status of TCP/IP
protocol.

5-9 Enabling Export to Excel Functionality
To use the Export To Excel functionality, perform the following tasks, depending on the Internet explorer version
you are using.
For I.E 6.0: Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe --> Set it to Prompt (Under Local Internet).
For I.E 7.0 : Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe --> Set it to Prompt (Under Internet)
5-10 Terminal Sets Permissions and SQL Views
If you are trying to apply Terminal sets Permission on SQL views, it will not work. The Terminal sets Permission
only apply to Local views and standard Policy and NOT to SQL views.
