3 SST/OB Web Client: Concepts
3-1 SST/OB: Overview
SST/OB Web client is a natural extension of SST/OB desktop client, providing platform and location
independence. With the SST/OB Web Client, you can monitor your Terminal environment (configured through
the SST/OB Client) through a web-browser like the Microsoft Internet Explorer. This empowers you with the
“Anytime-Anywhere” access to your Terminal environment.
In the next topics in the chapter, we will be covering the basic building blocks of SST/OB. For more details,
refer to SST/OB Users Guide.
3-2 Views
Views are the building blocks for creating Dashboards. A dashboard can contain one or more views. SST/OB
Dashboards can contain the following types of views:
• Policy Views: Policy Views are depicted using the icon. Policy Views are associated with Standard
policies.
• Local Views: Local Views are depicted using the
 icon.
3-2-1 Policy View
Policy Views are specialized views that are used for customized management of the Terminal environment. Each
Policy View has a Standard Policy associated with it.
NOTE: Policies are specialized conditions that can be used to monitor your Terminal environment.
Pre-Defined Policy Views
