PROCESS Attribute Set
BC
identifies the processor in which the backup process should be started. Valid
values are 0 through 15. The processor number you specify must be different
from the processor number specified in the CPU parameter. If the processor
error is not specified correctly, the error is detected at start time, not at add
time.
CV
identifies the physical volume on which the $ZSMS catalog should be located.
The default is $SYSTEM. (This parameter is required only for $ZSMS and
should not be used for pool and virtual disk catalogs. Pool and virtual disk
catalogs are specified through PUP.)
MD
controls the number of EMS events the process generates. NOISY, used for
troubleshooting, causes the process to emit the maximum number of events.
QUIET, used for normal processing, causes the process to emit only critical
events. The default is QUIET.
When using the SET or ADD commands to define attributes for a new process, this
parameter is required (if not specified, the error is detected at start time, not at add
time). Specify the key-value pair(s) required for the process you are defining:
FORCELOW
specifies whether or not the process should be associated with a low PIN at
startup. Valid values and their meaning are:
By default, the value OFF is assigned.

Virtual disk processes BC
Value Meaning
OFF If you specify OFF or if the COUP process in use has its FORCELOW
parameter set to OFF, the process is not forced into a low PIN.
ON If you specify ON and the COUP process in use has its FORCELOW
parameter set to ON, the process is forced into a low PIN at startup if one
is available.
