INCLUDE Command
INCLUDE Command
The INCLUDE command associates a physical volume with a storage pool. Only
members associated with the super-group (255,n) can execute the INCLUDE
command.
$physical-volume-process
is the process name for the physical volume you want to associate with a storage
pool. This process should be in the UP execution state. The physical volume must
be magnetic and on the same system as the storage pool process. Its attributes
must be compatible with those of the storage pool process, and it cannot be
associated with any other storage pool. $SYSTEM cannot be included in a
storage pool. The maximum number or physical volumes that can be associated
with a storage pool is 6144 at any one time.
$storage-pool-process
is the name of the storage pool process with which the physical volume is to be
associated. The process should be in the UP execution state, and its catalog
should be accessible.
ISOLATE Command
The ISOLATE command makes a physical volume unavailable for file placement
decisions by SMF. If you use the PHYSVOL specifier to explicitly request the volume,
the request will be rejected. Only members associated with the super-group (255,n)
can execute the ISOLATE command.
$physical-volume-name
is the process name for the physical volume you want to make unavailable for file
placement. The process need not be executing.
$storage-pool-name
is the process name for the storage pool with which the physical volume is
associated. The storage pool process must be in the UP execution state, and its
catalog must be accessible.
