Review Standard Operating Practices
Refer to Standard Operating Practices on page 5-3.
Remove the CLIP
1. Put on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) wriststrap and connect the grounding clip
securely to an unpainted metal surface on the SWAN 2 concentrator rack
containing the CLIP to be replaced.
2. Press the ejector on the CLIP to be replaced and pull the ejector to the left until the
CLIP is unseated from the SWAN 2 concentrator chassis.

Install the Replacement CLIP.

Verify the Installation of the Replacement CLIP.
Note. Whenever you handle a CLIP, follow standard operating practices to avoid damage to
the equipment.
Note. A CLIP is also known as a WAN logic board (LB).
