Verify the Installation of the Replacement LAN BIC

1. Make sure that the RJ-45 connector is connected to the LAN BIC.

2. Make sure that the LAN BIC status LEDs are functioning correctly.

Figure 2-7 on page 2-34 shows the LAN BIC LED indicators in detail.

•

Table 2-4 on page 2-31 describes the functions of these LEDs.

•

Table 2-5 on page 2-37 describes corrective actions for abnormal LED states.

3. If the LAN BIC status LEDs are not functioning correctly:

•

Reseat the LAN BIC.

•

Check the LAN BIC for damage. Replace the LAN BIC if it is damaged.

•

Use the OSM Service Connection or TSM Service Application to check for

alarms related to the LAN BIC’s associated LAN LB.
