3. Grasp the power supply by its ejector in one hand and, while supporting the bottom
edge of the power supply with the other hand, slowly pull the power supply all the
way out of the slot.
4. Place the power supply in an ESD protective bag and pack it into its original
shipping container.
Unpack and Inspect the Replacement Power Supply
1. Disconnect the grounding clip of your ESD wriststrap from the SWAN 2
concentrator rack and connect it to an antistatic mat.
2. Place the shipping container containing the power supply on the antistatic mat.
3. Open the shipping container and remove the power supply.
4. Visually inspect the replacement power supply for damage. Make sure its edges
are sharp, uniform, and not bent. Use a flashlight, if necessary, to check for bent
edges. If the power supply is damaged, do not use it. Instead, contact your HP
service provider.
Caution. When opening the shipping container, be careful not to cut into the ESD protective
bag.
