Review Standard Operating Practices
Refer to Standard Operating Practices on page 5-3.
Remove the Fan
1. Put on an ESD wriststrap and connect the grounding clip securely to an unpainted
metal surface on the SWAN 2 concentrator containing the fan to be replaced.
2. Loosen the thumbscrew on the fan and using both hands, pull the fan to be
replaced all the way out of the slot. Be careful not to disconnect any cables near
the fan.
Unpack and Inspect the Replacement Fan
1. Disconnect the grounding clip of your ESD wriststrap from the SWAN 2
concentrator and connect it to an antistatic mat.
