Verify the Installation of the Replacement Fan
Verify the Installation of the Replacement Fan
Verify the installation of the replacement fan by examining the fan’s status LED.
Figure 2-6 on page 2-33 shows the location of the fan LED, and Table 2-4 on
page 2-31 describes the function of this LED.
If the amber fault LED is lit and remains lit for several seconds:
1. Reseat the fan.
2. Check the fan for damage. Replace the fan if it is damaged.
3. Use the OSM Service Connection or TSM Service Application to check for alarms
related to the fan.
If the amber fault LED is lit after all these methods are attempted, replace the fan.
