This step is only necessary if you want to change the default file location. By default,
the SWAN firmware object file (C7953Q00) resides in the $SYSTEM.CSSnn
subvolume (nn is the number of the $SYSTEM.SYSnn where the new operating
system image resides).
If you need to change the default file location, you can use SCF or the firmware update
action in TSM during Step 8 on page B-12.
To issue the SCF ALTER ADAPTER, KERNELCODE command, enter:
SCF ALTER ADAPTER $ZZWAN.#conc-name,
KERNELCODE swan-kernel-micode-file-name
Note. When you specify an alternate firmware file location using SCF, all the CLIPs associated
with the concentrator are changed. If you want to change individual CLIPs, use the TSM
Service Application Specify Firmware File Location dialog box instead (see Step 8 on page
B-12
).
Note. The SWAN concentrators (ADAPTER object) must be in the STOPPED state (as
performed in Step 4) for this command to work.
