Gather the Proper Tools

You need these tools to unpack and install the SWAN 2 concentrator:

Review Standard Operating Practices

Refer to Standard Operating Practices on page 5-3.

Install the SWAN 2 Concentrator

Unpack the Shipping Container

1. Carefully cut or remove the packing tape from the shipping container.

2. Carefully open the shipping container.

Slotted screwdriver Connect interface converter cable to your cable

T-20 Torx screwdriver Install rack-mount kit screws

T-25 Torx screwdriver Install cable management and rack-mount kit

Cage nut tool Install cage nuts in a SWAN 2 concentrator rack

1. Unpack the Shipping Container

2. Install the Rack-Mount Kit

3. Rack-Mount the SWAN 2 Concentrator

4. Connect the Ethernet Cables

5. Install the Cable Management Kit

6. Connect the Interface Converter Cables to the WAN Ports

7. Power On the SWAN 2 Concentrator and Run the Power-On Self-Test (POST)

8. Update SWAN 2 CLIP Firmware
