WANDUMP
WANDUMP
The WANDUMP utility initiates a SWAN CLIP dump. WANDUMP, once initiated,
causes these actions:
•
Stops any activity on the CLIP
•
Initiates a CLIP dump. The CLIP dump process takes a complete dump of the
memory along with related data structures.
•
Places the dump file in $SYSTEM.ZWANDUMP subvol.
•
Causes the CLIP to perform a quick reset.
•
Starts line activities on the CLIP.
The WANDUMP utility requires:
•
The STATUS SERVER of the CLIP should show the SERVER in the STARTED
state.
•
The WANBOOT process associated with the CLIP should be present and in the
STARTED state.
•
Enough disk space must exist in the $SYSTEM volume to accommodate a 4.7MB
dump file.
WANDUMP Command Syntax
The WANDUMP command has this syntax (only SWAN 2 supports six CLIPs):

initiates WANDUMP help systems.
TRACKID trackid
is an ADAPTER TRACKID string. The string must be enclosed in quotation marks.
DIAG diag-task-filename
is the DIAG task code, which is normally $SYSTEM.CSSnn.diag-filename.
The diag-filename values are D8155P00 for SWAN and D8155Q00 for
SWAN 2.
