Finding the VPROC of the Firmware
This example shows a ConMgr process indicating an Ownership error (G06.07 SPRs
and later RVUs).
Finding the VPROC of the Firmware
You can find the VPROC (or version) of the firmware running on a CLIP by using OSM,
TSM, the WANLNCK utility, or SCF.
Using OSM or TSM
In the OSM Service Connection, CLIP attributes display the firmware version currently
running and the default name and version available for update. These attributes can be
viewed in the Attributes tab and in the Multi-Resource Actions dialog box.
The TSM Service Application also displays the current firmware version in the
Attributes tab. To see the firmware file version available for update, select Firmware
Update from the Display menu, then select SWAN Clip from the list of available
resources. The default location of the firmware source file is displayed when you select
a CLIP in the Firmware Update dialog box.
Using the WANLNCK Utility
Execute the WANLNCK utility, which displays the VPROC of the firmware running on
the CLIP along with other details.
Using SCF
For G06.07 and later RVUs when using SCF, use the SCF STATUS SERVER
command with the DETAIL option. This provides the VPROC of the firmware running
on the CLIP.
This example shows the VPROC in the BOOTP EMS Message.
ConMgr:
Activate PATH for $BSC, LDEV 139
Status : FAILED
Path A : Ownership
Recovery : Retry after CPU switch
Note. The BOOTP EMS message from the CLIP indicates the VPROC of the firmware running
on the CLIP.
WANBoot:
BOOTP received for SWAN00 TRACKID X017R3,
CLIP 1, IP Address 192.168.10.190, Path A
VPROC: T7954G01^21OCT1999^AAF^R002
