Restarting and Resetting the CLIP Through the
Software
You can restart the CLIP by using the SCF START SERVER command.
1. On a running CLIP, execute the SCF ABORT SERVER command, followed by the
SCF START SERVER command. This action causes a warm and quick restart of
the CLIP.
The lines running on the CLIP will be disturbed but will recover automatically as
soon as the CLIP comes up.
2. If the server was in a STOPPED state, execute the SCF START SERVER
command. Note that, in a multi-system configuration, if the CLIP is controlled by
another system, the START SERVER command will acquire control of the CLIP.
You can execute the WANFBT command, which forces a reboot of the CLIP.
•
This command requires the SERVER to be in a STARTED state.
•
The LINEs running on the CLIP will be disturbed, but will recover automatically as
soon as the CLIP comes up.
•
The WANFBT command will cold reset the CLIP and force the CLIP to run a POST
(Power-On, Self-Test).
