Finding the Current PATH Status of the CLIP
Finding the Current PATH Status of the CLIP
In G06.07 SPRs and later RVUs, you can execute the SCF STATUS SERVER
command with the DETAIL option to get the current status.
Considerations
•
The path status is updated by the LFD feature.
•
To get the correct path status information wait for 2 minutes, then check the status
again. The information is accurate if it remains the same for 2 minutes or more.
•
The Last BOOTP time field indicates the last time the BOOTP request came on
the path. If a BOOTP request had never come on the path,
Bootp Not Exchanged is displayed.
•
The path status can be one of the following: UP, DOWN, FIRMUP, or DUMP.
•
The Status changed at field indicates the time when the path status was
changed to the value shown.
•
If the Status field indicates DOWN and Status changed at field indicates N/A, it
means that the path never came up after the Last BOOTP request. The possible
problems include:
°
The CLIP is sending BOOTP requests continuously and it is not receiving
BOOTP replies from the host or there are configuration problems at the CLIP
after it received the BOOTP reply.
