Troubleshooting if the CLIP is Inaccessible
Troubleshooting if the CLIP is Inaccessible
If the SWAN CLIP is inaccessible:
Ensure that the server state for the SWAN CLIP is in a STARTED state by issuing
the SCF STATUS TASK command:
SCF STATUS TASK $ZZWAN.#conc-name.clip-num.DIAG
If the CLIP is accessible, the status of the DIAG task is displayed. If the CLIP is not
accessible on either PATH, then an error is displayed.
The SCF STATUS TASK command also displays an EMS message indicating the
failure and reason for this failure. This provides a good start for finding out the
cause and the recovery for this problem. In most cases, the EMS message
indicates the cause directly (G06.07 and later RVUs).
The SCF STATUS SERVER command with the DETAIL option provides the path
health status. For more information, see Finding the Current PATH Status of the
CLIP on page 6-11 (G06.07 and later RVUs).
Execute the WANLNCK utility on one of the LINEs configured in the SWAN CLIP.
This utility verifies if the TCP/IP, TFTP, TRAPMUX, WANBoot, and ConMgr
processes are configured correctly. After verifying the configuration check,
WANLNCK also downloads the DIAG task to get the details from the CLIP.
