QUEST2
QUEST2
QUEST2 is a CLIP dump analyzer tool, which supports both SWAN and SWAN 2. The
QUEST2 tool supports only the SWAN CLIP dump file with a format ID of 4 and any
SWAN 2 CLIP dump. (For SWAN CLIP dumps that have the format ID of 1, 2, or 3, use
the QUEST tool.) The input for the QUEST2 tool is the SWAN or SWAN 2 CLIP dump
file.
QUEST2 decodes and displays the binary contents of the dump file in readable text
and provides both an interactive interface and a command line interface.
Differences Between QUEST and QUEST2
All options used in QUEST are retained in QUEST2, and equivalent commands to
those in QUEST are provided in QUEST2. However, QUEST2 provides a
user-interactive interface, in addition to the command line interface.
SWAN 2 CLIP dumps have additional sections, which can be analyzed using the new
commands and options in QUEST2. QUEST2 commands support any SWAN 2 CLIP
dump but only the SWAN CLIP dumps that have format ID 4.
QUEST2 provides this information for SWAN 2 CLIP FID4 dumps:
•
Dump header information for each block in a table format.
•
Stack information from the stack pointer and also for the specified task.
•
A readable display of hardware component status.
•
A detailed description of the stack frame with the various register values.
•
New options and commands that allow the viewing of additional information, such
as VPROCs of DLCs and DIAG.
•
Single-command (-in) access to all memory (FLASH, DPRAM, DRAM, and
CLIPPAL) contents.
QUEST2 Output
The QUEST2 output for either SWAN or SWAN 2 includes:
•
The cause of the CLIP dump with the complete stack frame.
•
Version (VPROC) strings of SWAN firmware and SNMP software, along with the
version strings of started lines (DLC 0/1 and DIAG).
•
A readable display of the SWAN control table.
•
A readable display of the LINE control table.
•
A readable display of Software Watch Dog Timer information.
•
A readable display of system flags and post flags.
