Connecting a Current Loop Adapter
This appendix describes how to connect a current loop device to the SWAN
concentrator.
Figure C-1 shows an installation using the RS-232 to current loop converter to connect
a current loop device to a SWAN concentrator. The current loop converter is powered
and therefore does not drain power from the RS-232 circuitry.
Note. Although the SWAN concentrator does not support a native current loop interface,
SWAN does support an external current loop connection. Extra hardware is required and must
be ordered from HP.
