Step 5: Connecting the Power Cord

1. Locate the power cord. Check that the power switch is set to the 0 (OFF) position.

See Figure 2-10.

2. Plug in the power cord by orienting the female plug on the power cord to the male

power receptacle on the rear panel of the SWAN concentrator and pushing the

female connector into the male power receptacle.

3. Attach the male end of the power cord to a power source.

Note. If the SWAN concentrator is powered on before it is configured within the WAN

subsystem, the SWAN concentrator will not be recognized by the WAN manager process or by

the OSM Service Connection or TSM Service Application (G-series RVUs only) discovery

processes.
