Procedure
Table A-1 shows the outage time required for the firmup procedure based on the
SWAN firmware version you are running.
SWAN CLIP Test Actions
You can perform the following diagnostic actions on a SWAN concentrator
communications line interface processor (CLIP) using the OSM Service Connection or
the TSM Service Application:
Test Primary Path Access, which tests two-way access to the primary PATH.
Test Backup Path Access, which tests two-way access to the alternate PATH.
Test Basic Online (CLIP), which runs an online test to determine if the CLIP is
functional and tests two-way access to the primary and alternate PATHs.
Test Full Path Access, which tests two-way access to the primary and alternate
PATHs.
Test Verify, which executes the power-on self-test (POST). POST disrupts activity
on the WAN lines on the CLIP. Test Verify Action Procedure on page A-3 describes
the tasks you must perform before and after executing the Test Verify action.
For information about performing SWAN concentrator test actions, refer to the OSM
Service Connection online help or theTSM Service Application online help.
