SYSGENR Message Descriptions
Cause. You have specified an incorrect work file option in the PARAM WORKFILE
command. Valid options are volume name, subvolume name, or both. SYSGENR will
use the device name of the default disk as workfiledev. This message appears in
the body of the listing, at the point where the error occurred.
Effect. SYSGENR places the work file in the default volume and subvolume.
Recovery. Correct the PARAM WORKFILE command and rerun SYSGENR.
Cause. SYSGENR is calling the BACKUP program to create the system image tape
(SIT). This message appears on the home terminal.
Effect. SYSGENR issues this WARNING and continues.
Recovery. Informational message only; no corrective action is needed.
Cause. The file whose contents are being listed has KSEG0 code in it, which is not
allowed.
Effect. SYSGENR terminates.
Recovery. Remove the file from the CONFAUX file, because it is probably not the
right version of the file to use. If there is no other version and it is a needed file, then
this is an internal problem; gather the items listed on page A-1, then call your service
provider.
Cause. The file filename, listed in the STANDARD_MICROCODE entry of the
CONFTEXT file or the CONFAUX file, contains millicode intended for KSEG0. This is
not allowed.
Effect. SYSGENR terminates.
Recovery. Remove the file from the STANDARD_MICROCODE list and rerun
SYSGENR.
If the file is only a KSEG0 millicode file, removing it will correct this error. However, if
the file has other code that is needed, then SYSGENR might terminate with some
other error. In that case, there is an internal problem; gather the items listed on
page A-1, then call your service provider.
