C nld Messages
The following are some of the messages generated by nld, the native linker program
called by SYSGENR to build the SYSCLR and SYSDP2 files. nld messages begin
with the text

and are listed below in alphabetic order.
Items Needed Before Contacting Your Service
Provider
You will need to gather the following items if the nld message you receive directs you
to contact your service provider. These items supply HP with the information needed
to help resolve the problem.
1. The VPROC (Version PROCedure) of SYSGENR (by recording the results of the
following command):
> VPROC SYSGEN2
2. On a backup tape, a copy of the CONFLIST file
3. On a backup tape, a copy of the CONFAUX file
4. On a backup tape, a copy of any file mentioned in the nld error or warning
message
5. The VPROC of nld (by recording the results of the following command):
> VPROC NLD
nld Message Descriptions
Cause. Due to file-system error nnn, filename does not exist, or it exists but nld
cannot open it.
Effect. SYSGENR terminates.
Recovery. Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for
corrective action for file-system error nnn. Then rerun SYSGENR.
Note. These items apply only if you are running SYSGENR outside of DSM/SCM.
